Chiang Kai Shek, Thailand’s capital, will soon open its first Chinese restaurant.
The restaurant, titled Chiangai Grill, will offer Chinese food.
The news comes less than a month after the city hosted the inaugural Chinese New Year.
Chiang Mai is home to the world’s oldest restaurant and a host of international restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Michelin Guide and the Micheler Guide to the World.
Chinese eateries have been popping up all over the city.
For example, the Chiang Rai Canteen Restaurant opened in November in a renovated office building in the city’s downtown area, the former home of a Chinese electronics firm.
Chiang Rai canteen opened in October 2019 in an office building next to the former offices of the state-owned oil company.
A restaurant on the waterfront in the Thai capital of Bangkok opened in February 2018.
The Chiang Moong restaurant, the first restaurant in Chiang, opened in the northern Thai province of Hetian in October 2018.
It is expected to be one of the city-state’s first Chinese restaurants.
